1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using Vault ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
2. Description of Service
Vault is a password manager application for Android devices that allows you to:
- Store and manage passwords securely
- Generate strong passwords
- Organize credentials by categories
- Export and import encrypted backups
- Access your vault using biometric authentication
The App operates entirely offline and stores all data locally on your device.
3. User Responsibilities
As a user of Vault, you are responsible for:
- Master Password: Creating and remembering a strong master password. We cannot recover your password if you forget it.
- Device Security: Maintaining the security of your device, including keeping your operating system updated.
- Backups: Regularly backing up your data. We recommend exporting encrypted backups and storing them securely.
- Legal Use: Using the App only for lawful purposes and in compliance with all applicable laws.
4. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including AES-256 encryption. However, no security system is impenetrable. By using the App, you acknowledge that:
- You are responsible for the physical security of your device
- You should not share your master password with anyone
- Lost or forgotten master passwords cannot be recovered
- Uninstalling the App will permanently delete all stored data
5. Intellectual Property
The App, including its design, code, graphics, and content, is owned by SkynetLab and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not:
- Copy, modify, or distribute the App
- Reverse engineer or decompile the App
- Remove any copyright or proprietary notices
- Use the App's branding without permission
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- Implied warranties of merchantability
- Fitness for a particular purpose
- Non-infringement
- Security or reliability
We do not warrant that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of harmful components.
7. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SKYNETLAB SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY:
- Direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
- Loss of data, profits, or business opportunities
- Damages resulting from unauthorized access to your data
- Damages resulting from forgotten passwords or lost backups
Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction with the App is to stop using it.
8. Updates and Changes
We may update the App from time to time to add features, fix bugs, or improve performance. We may also modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
9. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it from your device. We reserve the right to discontinue the App at any time without notice.
10. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Italy, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
11. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
